MLA RIDE - Victoria - Thursday, May 6, 2010

Looking for an excuse to take a day off work and go for a ride? You should join us on Thursday, May 6th for the 21st Annual MLA Ride! This is BCCOM's Annual Ride to the Legislature in Victoria to take the MLA's and their staff for a ride on their lunch hour. It is a chance for motorcyclists to speak directly with your individual Member of the Legislative Assembly on motorcycling and safety issues that affect you and your family. It is also the big kickoff to promote May as Motorcycle Awareness Month!

VICTORIA: Riders meet up at Mayfair Mall (Blanshard St in Victoria) at 11:00am with the riders from the mainland and proceed on to the Legislature

THE RIDE: Leaves Summerland Park between 10 & 11 am and heads along the lakes and back. The ride is approximately 3 hours. There will be a bar-b-que at 4:00PM.

Ride for Doug 2010 - Sunday June 6th

Ride For Doug is an afternoon long (3-4 hour) ride through some of the best motorcycling roads in Langley, Abbotsford, and Mission. We explore "Sportbike roads at a cruiser pace". For a route description, click here.

The ride begins in South Langley (22nd Ave and 200th Street) with registration at noon. By 1:30 we are on the road. We end up right back where we started at 5pm for a BBQ dinner.

23rd Annual Rocky Bow - Lunatic Fringe Rally - July 9 ~ 11 2010
Located in Beaupre Community Hall

Beaupre Creek Road, Cochrane, Alberta

Registration includes: 2 nights of camping in large grassy area (Friday & Saturday) (showers available at the swimming pool in nearby Cochrane), 5 meals, refreshments, rides, field events, door prizes, rally pin (guaranteed only for pre-registered attendants), and more!

Kilby Historic Site - Pre-1960's Motorcycles required for a 1 day display. Only the most original bikes are considered for protected display area. Overflow ride in. There will be prizes for: Oldest, Restored, Unrestored, Most Rare, Military North American, European, British, and Historic Association. Note: ONLY amateurs qualify for prizes.

Come and join us on Saturday July 10, 2010 for motorcycle Poker Run.

The ride will start at the City Hall of New Westminster between 10 am and 12 noon, and finish at The Starlight Casino in Queensborough at 4 pm. There will be fabulous roads, pit stops, and many many prizes. This event is organized by the Downtown New Westminster Business Improvement Society which recently sanctioned Sunday Bikers Brunch program with free motorcycle-only parking in front of hosting restaurants and cafes with patios on Columbia Street in New West.

Wellbrook Classic Car & Motorcycle Show & Shine - 10:30 am to 5:00 pm - Wellbrook Winery - 4626 88th St. in Delta, BC

This fun filled day on the farm features a Classic Car & Motorcycle Show, a Blueberry Festival & an Outdoor Market with over 25 vendors. Enjoy the live music with “Kid Cadillac”, have a bite to eat at TOOBS barbeque (make sure to leave room for a slice of our famous blueberry pie) or relax in the Wine Garden while you enjoy a visit with friends.

Motorcycle Ride for Dad (ride to fight prostate cancer). Pre-registration 5pm - 8pm Friday, August 27. Ride day registration, 7am - 8:30am , South Baptist Church, 1988 65th Street, Tsawwassen, BC.

BMW Club on Northern California - Range of Light Gypsy Tour. Labour Day Weekend, September 3 to 6. Departing from Butte County Fairgrounds, Gridley CA. This is a travelling tour weekend with grass camping en route.

Deadline to register is August 21.

Members of all Emergency Services will ride en masse to the Peace Arch Border Crossing in Tribute to the New York Police, Fire & Ambulance personnel who lost their lives in the horrific attack on the Twin Towers on September 11th 2001.

We would be honoured to have you join us for this ride & Remembrance Service on Saturday, September 11, to Honour the bravery & dedication of emergency personnel & members of the public who were lost in this tragedy. The Motorcycle Ride escorted by the Famous Vancouver Police Motorcycle Drill Team will marshal at the
Town & Country Hotel at Hwy’s #99 & #17 in Delta at 0700 Hrs. Departing for the Canada - USA Border Crossing at 0800 Hrs.

The Memorial Service will commence at 0900 Hrs. We will then gather at the Peace Arch Park for refreshments. We hope that we can count on your support. Please contact us if you need further information.

VANCOUVER MOTORCYCLE TOY RUN - OCTOBER 3rd 2010
Event: Annual Vancouver Motorcycle Toy Run
Date: Sunday, October 3, 2010
Time: Leaves Coquitlam Centre Mall parking lot at 10:00 am

The entry fee is a new child's toy wrapped in plastic or a monetary donation.
The toy run will leave Coquitlam Centre at 10:00 am and proceed to the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) grounds in full parade style. The Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau kindly requests more sport and educational toys. They also ask that no there would be no stuffed toys. There will be commemorative pins and door prizes. Vendor space is available for those who are interested.

The Zeller's at Coquitlam Centre is usually open at 8:00 AM on the morning of the run for last minute shopping and their restaurant will be open as well in case anyone needs a bite to eat or a hot coffee.

Bee Cee Beemers Club Members:

All those who can help out blocking the small intersections so the Toy Run doesn't get a huge police bill, should meet for breakfast about 8am ish at the Coquitlam Grill, 2635 Barnett, our traditional
meeting place, about a kilometer west of the mall. North side of Barnett in the strip mall near Timmys.

We have to set out before the main ride leaves at 10am sharp, hence the early breakie. We traditionally get about two dozen volunteers, but will need more this year as many of our members are out of town as it is a long weekend. Pray for sun as the forecast right now is rather grim OUR SECTION OF HASTINGS IS INVERMERE TO SPRINGER, OTHER CLUBS HAVE OTHER AREAS, THE LAST FEW RIDERS SHOULD JUST HEAD WEST AND FILL ANY HOLES LEFT AS BBY CITY ALSO MANS SOME INTERSECTIONS
